About Me

Magical Maths Haringey is run by Louisa Agamemnos, who is the winner of the '2015 Professor Poopenshtinken's Star Award' for Outstanding Contribution.



Coming from a maths and tutoring background, Professor Poopenshtinken’s Magical Maths encompasses all my passions – maths, teaching, acting, business and having fun.



I wanted to be an actress from a young age but loved maths at school, so I pursued that path academically, resulting in a degree in that subject.



After university I became a private tutor and that is where my passion grew for not only developing the mathematical ability, but also encouraging the enjoyment of the subject. A teacher has a major influence on a student’s experience of a subject and it’s so rewarding when a child tells me I have improved that.



One of the best things about Magical Maths is how accessible it is for everyone involved. It’s a great price for parents so no one can feel left out, the fact it’s held in the schools makes transportation simple, it runs self-sufficiently so asks for very little from schools and is so fun that it’s a wonderful environment to work and learn in.



I’m looking forward to seeing Magical Maths grow and to change the perception of the subject from a young age and breed a generation of maths geniuses.
